Pine Cove is seeking 1 ministry minded individual to be the Camp in the City Site Director. The responsibility of the CAMP IN THE CITY SITE DIRECTOR (CICSD) is to assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of the Camp in the City satellite day camping program for Pine Cove. The CICSD will report to the designated Regional Director (RD). The key areas of coordination include: scheduling, correspondence, church partnering, innovation, preparation, execution, and evaluation. The CICSD maintains excellent relationships with all employees, vendors and other contacts by providing winning customer service and demonstrating Speed of Trust behaviors.

This position requires a humble, Godly person who is passionate about expanding the gospel through Pine Cove and the local church. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are also desired for this role as he/she will interact with a wide variety of college students and church staff, as well as coordinate with all the departments of Pine Cove. The candidate must also have a big picture vision of what the future of Camp in the City can be. He/she should be willing to be held accountable, accept critique, take ownership of issues, and strive toward correcting them. This person must be able to receive instructions and independently carry them out with efficiency and excellence. 

Our expectation is that he/she will be principle driven (as motivated by Scripture). He/she must have the ability to communicate clearly and connect quickly with both college students and adults. His/her lifestyle, demeanor, and character must be able to inspire college students, adult volunteers, and Pine Cove staff to follow his/her lead. We expect him/her to be constantly seeking to strengthen the Camp in the City program and expand its influence. This is a generic job posting; applications will be considered for our existing locations as openings become available.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAgrees with and exhibits behaviors in accordance with the Pine Cove Statement of Belief.   
  • Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures during employment, including the Pine Cove Handbook.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws.   
  • At least 21 years of age.   
  • Graduate of a four year college or university.   
  • At least one summer of camping experience (preferably at Pine Cove).
  • Excellent ability to communicate and connect with children, college students, and adults.
  • Unique ability to anticipate needs and recommend creative solutions.
  • Ability to effectively lead, inspire and manage people and projects.
  • Proven organizational ability and attention to detail.
  • Adjusts to changes in environment or schedule while maintaining a joyful attitude.
  • Ability to take ownership of their church partnerships and foster healthy and consistent relationships with their church contacts.
  • Must establish and maintain professional working relationships with employees, managers and external constituents, including demonstrating consistent Speed of Trust behaviors
  • Possess current driver’s license and able to drive company vehicles as needed.
